Thomas Edison did not invent the lightbulb
Even though many people say that Edison invented light, the idea wasn't entirely his. In 1879, Thomas Edison was able to develop one that worked perfectly. Warren de La Rue and Joseph Swan, on the other hand, produced earlier versions. The idea was sound in the early light bulbs, but they were not practical.
